2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (June 21)
Mason Woolever is a 2025 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Sarasota, FL who attends IMG Academy. Solid frame with good athletic actions and plenty of room to add overall physicality. Moves well on his feet and ran the 60 yard dash in 6.92 seconds. Primary position outfielder, gets to the ball with good angles and continues momentum through to his throws. Drop step style fielding but presents the glove out front nicely into clean transfer to throw. Emerging overall arm strength using a medium inline arm path with decent carry and solid accuracy reaching 83 mph on throws back to the infield. LHH working from an even stance a bit rigid in his initial setup. Shows excellent rhythm in his hands and translates to a strong hand load pre-pitch. Quiet overall operation, turns well in the core and shows loose wrists and strong hands at impact. Present control of the barrel and gets the ball in air with relative ease. Projects to hit for power as the size and strength continues to develop. Should be a left-handed stick to follow closely in the coming months. Outstanding student as well.
