Jorge Campillo is a 2025 MIF/OF with a 5-6 118 lb. frame from Peoria, AZ who attends Sunrise Mountain. Medium athletic build with a lean build and long limbs with square shoulders, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well to the ball on feet and stays light, comfort picking the backhand and shows some softness to hands, longer arm action on throws, accuracy across the diamond with arm strength that will continue to develop. Sound actions in the outfield, similar full arm action, fields it out front, shows accuracy with present carry on throws. Listed as a switch-hitter, hit from the right side in this look. Begins with an even to slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Contact oriented approach, long swing path through the zone, keeps hands inside. Can shorten approach moving forward, shows ability to work to the opposite field, flashed lift to path, bat speed will continue to develop with added strength.
