Preston Deal is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Donalsonville, GA who attends Bainbridge. Extra-large, broad shouldered frame with long limbs and present strength throughout, additional room to fill. Ran a 7.83 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, leg lift up to belt at start of delivery, comes down the mound and lands slightly closed with strike foot; medium length arm action working to a high three-quarters release point. Lower effort release out of the hand, fastball topped out at 78 mph and showed some running life to the arm side. Flashed a curveball at 61 mph, tends to slow arm at release but shows some depth through the zone; filled the strike zone. Big target at first base for fielders to throw to, fields it out front and works through it well, quick transfer and turn, accurate throws across the diamond from a higher release point, can change slot as needed to complete the play. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide and open stance in the box; patient approach at the plate, full swing path through the zone and looks to lift at the point of contact, occasionally gets uphill.
