Daniel Grider is a 2027 1B/RHP, OF with a 6-0 148 lb. frame from College Grove, TN who attends Columbia Academy. Tall and lanky frame, advanced length for the class and has plenty of room to fill out in both halves. Ran an 8.34 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, good fundamental base here with solid actions overall, comfortable around the bag and on turns, developing arm strength but accurate, clean round. Secondary right-handed pitcher, works strictly from the stretch, belt high leg lift and lands slightly closed, throws across the body, higher three-quarter arm slot, some run to the fastball with high spin rates, spinner breaking ball with some short shape differentials, pounded the zone and was effective. Right-handed hitter, high hands with even stance, knee lift trigger, flat path through the zone, inside the ball some. Promising traits across multiple facets of the game, should add strength here in the coming years. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
