Ryder Holmstrom is a 2028 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Shawnee, KS who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Medium young athletic build with lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Primary shortstop on defense, moves well to his left with developing actions to his back hand, throws well from lower slots, has good foot quickness to continue to develop, some young arm strength with more to come. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with an inward toe tap trigger, still hands to start his swing line drive swing plane, short swing, will get tied up inside at times, best going mid field to opposite field. Also pitched, works from a standard side step/leg raise delivery into a 3/4's arm slot, high back elbow in back. Threw strikes with a fastball that topped out at 81 mph. Threw a big upper 60's curveball as his breaking ball, also flashed a change up to left handed hitters. Good student.
