Aidan McGovern is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 6-2 238 lb. frame from Orland Park, IL who attends Mount Carmel. Big and thick build with plenty of present strength. Primary left-handed pitcher, works from a standard wind up with a low leg raise and 3/4's arm slot. Fastball was in the low 70's for the most part and could reach back for 75 mph up in the zone when ahead in the count. Did a good job throwing a soft slider and straight change up for strikes to keep hitters off balance. Plays first base when not on the mound. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a short swing, upper body driven swing, swings hard and flashes some juice when squared up, tends to stride open on his swing. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
