2024 Sunshine South Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Isaac Casas is a 2025 C/RHP/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Sunset. Primary catcher who sets up on one knee. Showed a smooth transfer out of the crouch and made throws online with good accuracy. Will need to quicken up the transfer and release process moving forward but showed things to like behind the dish. Also played outfield working through the ball a good bit. Throws from a full arm swing and shuffles a bit before throwing. Could get to the ball well but will need to speed things up in game. Right-handed hitter with a narrow and balanced base. Uses a small leg lift into stride for timing and rhythm. Was able to impact it to the middle of the field when swing gets on plane and is developing more bat speed. Ran a 7.49 sixty. Also pitched from the windup. Uses a belt high leg lift throwing from a high 3/4 slot and gets down slope well. Threw strikes and showed a curve with depth that he could get extension on out in front.
