Joseph Hecker is a 2025 SS/RHP, OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Pullman, WA who attends Pullman High School. Recorded a 7.56 second sixty yard dash time. Long and lanky frame with room to fill, great physical projection. Primary shortstop, attacks the ball and comes and gets it with urgency. Fields out front with a clean funnel to the center, has some jump to the actions. Moves very well through the infield and has good lateral range, has solid footwork and gets into good fielding positions. Developing feel for the glove at present but projects well moving forward. Secondary right-handed pitcher, hands stay at chest to the break, shows drop and drive lower half mechanics. Tends to throw at the top of the zone, looked much better when getting over his front side and working down. Comes from a high three-quarters slot, falls off a bit to the glove side, flashed a big breaking ball at 61 mph. Left-handed hitter with a very simple operation and approach, looks gap to gap and shows present bat speed. Direct hand path and level swing plane, pummeled the opposite field gap during his round. Projectable swing and operation, will really improve as he continues to get stronger and develop physically. Excellent student.
