Ivan Carballo is a 2029 C/RHP, 2B, SS, MIF, IF, OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Wesley Chapel, FL who attends Wiregrass Ranch. Medium, athletic frame with some lean muscle throughout and plenty of projection remaining. Recorded a 7.37 second sixty-yard dash time. Versatile defender with fluid, athletic actions in both the infield and outfield. Showed fundamentally sound footwork with a clean funnel, plenty of lateral range and some carry on his throws up to 77 mph in the infield. Displayed tons of twitch and athleticism during the outfield portion of the workout. Fielded cleanly off his front foot, gathered cleanly and maintained momentum into release. Produced accurate throws up to 81 mph during drills. Ran his fastball up to 76 mph during his appearance on the mound with some developing feel for spin and plenty of things to traits to like moving forward. Showed excellent body control, throws strikes and maintained a consistent release point. Will continue to improve with minor refinements mechanically and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, open base with a high hand set, high back elbow and hanging trigger. All field approach with tight turns into launch, plenty of present bat speed and legitimate power potential moving forward. Projectable, young prospect with tons of upside and projection.
