Thomas Smith is a 2026 RHP/MIF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Kansas City, MO who attends University Academy-Upper. Recorded a 7.70 second sixty yard dash time. Long and lean frame, with a slender build. Primary right-handed pitcher starts from the stretch, closing up a ton as he comes set, works with a leg-lift up around the belt with some extension working downhill. Throws from a high three- quarter slot with some whip to the arm. The fastball (2004 RPM) was 74-78 and has some arm-side run, mixed both a four seam and two seamers with a ton of life to it. The curveball (2147 RPM) had 11-5 shape with bigger depth and break to it. Working with pace and tempo. Also mixed a change-up with some depth. Garnered a lot of soft contact during the outing. Also worked out in the infield with quick feet and fields it up the middle with some whip through the release. Shorter and compact arm action through it. Changed slots with developing arm strength and accuracy. Right-handed hitter starts from a wide base and a square stance, utilizes a load stride timing. Flat bat path. Intriguing player with some upside. Good student.
