Ben Lee is a 2027 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from York, SC who attends Legion Collegiate Academy. Large frame with plenty of current strength and the durable build you look for in a pitcher with lots of time to refine. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.93 seconds. Primary position RHP, stretch only from the 1B side of the rubber, hands set at the belt and raised to the chest with the belly high leg lift, breaks into a full inline arm path, sinks into his legs with pretty good distance down the mound, accelerates through a lower-3/4 arm angle as he rotates fine over his front side, tends to get a bit early into rotation and yank the pitch to the glove side, there is some quickness to his arm and the fastball is heavy, stays around the zone with smaller misses, fastball does have some boring action living in the low-80s and the slider shows open spin in the mid-60s, flashed one changeup that needs some more feel, big kid who has time to develop further. Secondary position infielder, showing good feel for the spot. Simple mechanics and accurate glove work securing the ball with ease and comfort. Feeds up to 85 mph across the diamond. Has the feel of a power-oriented corner infielder. RHH working from a wide start using a heel lift trigger and big move to impact. Uphill path to the ball getting it airborne with ease and showing loose hands. Power is evident and will play at another level as path to the ball is simplified. Outstanding student as well.
