Jackson Gray is a 2027 C/RHP, 1B with a 5-10 133 lb. frame from Newcastle, CA who attends Del Oro. Features a slender build with some present athleticism. Ran an 8.24 60-yd dash. Behind the plate, he moved well. Got out the crouch quick while gaining good ground towards second on throwdowns. Exhibited above avg. arm strength as well. Solid best 2.00 pop-time. At the plate, he sits in a narrow/open stance. Uses a larger leg kick trigger where his hands stay active throughout. He drifts into contact and showed some out front intent. Barrel works short to it and long through it. Gets extended well with bat speed that is above avg. for his level. On the mound, he used a full windup delivery with more drop/drive type mechanics. Gets down the mound with some quickness with a shorter arm action that works clean to release. His fastball topped 77 showing some natural ride through working well up in the zone. Mixed in a cutter with quality short break that he used sparingly and a low 60s breaking ball that had slurvy shape to it. Named to Top Prospects list.
