Alexander Scott is a 2029 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-10 142 lb. frame from Santa Clarita, CA. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.49 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, smooth actions on the approach and finish to the ball, maintains momentum well into throws with a compact arm action, fields the ball out front, shows accuracy on throws to the intended base via a quick release. Clean funnel in the dirt and gets it out of the glove quickly, shorter arm action on throws across, shows ability to adjust and clean footwork, shows some present arm strength and accuracy. Also pitched, stretch only operation, coiled leg lift into balance point, works to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 76 mph, worked around the zone and throws strikes, flashed a curveball up to 57 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance in the box with a high back elbow; does a nice job of staying short and direct to the ball with hands from launch. Linear path through the zone with present bat speed, shows rhythm in swing and consistent feel for the barrel. Comfort working to the middle and pull side parts of the field, looseness in hands, nice foundational tools to build on with added physical strength. Excellent student.
