Tyson Cameron is a 2028 C/RHP/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Holly Springs, NC who attends Pro5 Baseball Academy. Thicker build with plenty of present strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow and slightly open stance with a low back elbow load and a hanging front leg timer, uses his lower half well to generate bat speed and has strength in his hands, timing isn't consistent yet but can get jump off the barrel when he stays directional with his front side and is timed up, has the strength to project as a hitter. 7.68 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up side saddle and low with some lower half flexibility, moves well into his throws, stays directional well, some arm strength and carry on his throws, repeats his actions well and makes accurate throws. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a short leg raise start, upper body delivery with a loose on-line arm action and 3/4's arm slot. Located a fastball that topped out at 82 mph well, mostly straight. Mixed in a short downer curveball and threw strikes with both pitches. Excellent student.
