2024 High School All State Select Championship (2025-2026 Grads)
Makana Moorefield is a 2026 OF/RHP/2B with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Honolulu, HI who attends IMG Academy. Slender wiry athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, starts from a standard base with a rock back load and short stride into contact, level line drive swing plane, has some bat speed with more to come as he gets stronger, best when he's staying short and direct to the ball and not looking to lift. 7.15 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has athletic actions and quick feet to the ball, fields cleanly out front with a one hand gather, quick transfer and release, makes on line accurate throws, solid overall fundamentals and execution. Took a turn on the mound, throws from a high 3/4's arm slot and a full rocker step wind up with a short stride out front. Fastball was in the mid-70's and topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight. Kept his arm speed well on a downer curveball and flashed a change up. Very good student. Named to the High School All-State Select Championship Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
