Deaven Mahoney is a 2025 2B/SS, OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Moreno Valley, CA who attends Valley View. Small thin frame. In the outfield, he works direct to the fielding point but doesn't charge with in game level of intent. Arm is fringe average but accurate to the base. He showed decent actions in the infield portion as well with fundamental footwork in his approach to reception. He possesses a quick release that is accurate across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, moderate base and low back elbow. Small load with knob working short and direct as he fires. Flashed some whip through the zone but results were hindered due to inconsistent timing. Level barrel plane through impact. Flashed some ability to get extended and drive it to the pull side. 7.18 60-yard. Good student.
