2021 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 14)
Caden Taylor is a 2023 C/OF, UT with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Summerville, SC who attends Pinewood Preparatory. Recorded a 7.57 second sixty yard dash time. Primary catcher with a low and side straddle set up, has some arm side run carry to his ball. Recorded a 2.12 second pop time at 71 mph. Will improve as he stays low throughout the process and gains more ground towards second base. Uphill release, has some flexibility in his lower half. Secondary outfielder will a quick transfer and release, throws from a lower slot. Passive approach with developing fundamentals, gets underneath the ball at times when throwing. Switch hitter with spread and slightly open stance, high back elbow set with a tight hand set. Limited separation created, will improve has ability to catch the ball out front as he develops bat speed. Utilizes a leg lift trigger and shows a pull side approach on the right side, looks more to the middle of the field on the left side. Excellent student.
