Channing Piper is a 2030 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-5 130 lb. frame from Raymore, MO who attends Raymore-Peculiar. Piper ran a 8.98 sixty yard dash. He works a small slender athletic frame with some projection and room for additional strength. Primary middle infielder with developing footwork , getting the glove down early fielding it cleanly with a straight upwards funnel into a compact arm slot with some accuracy on his throws across the diamond. On the bump working from the stretch only with a hip height leg lift. The arm action is short through the backside coming from a high 3/4s slot with developing arm strength. The fastball sat in the low 60s peaking at 63mph with occasional run to it. Right handed hitter in the box with a wide even foot base into a toe tap trigger. The bat path is flat through the zone with developing bat speed and feel for the barrel. He works an all field approach driving the ball hard on the ground.
