2024 Spring Midwest Workout Showcase
Cooper Harris is a 2025 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Vernon Hills, IL who attends Adlai E Stevenson. A bigger frame and build with some physicality in the lower half. Showed strength present in the build as well. Ran a 7.60 60-yard dash. He worked out as a primary first baseman who had some strength on the arm, which showed in his throws. He threw from a lower slot with quicker release, throwing 75 mph across the diamond to third base. He fields it cleanly with a smooth arm angle and a medium arm action. The throws carried well, and his feeds to second were quality as well. Overall, it was a good round with good angles and footwork around the bag. Took BP as a left-handed hitter with an even base and spread lower half. He had higher-set hands and a higher-back elbow with open feet. The hands drift deep with the load and he worked inward to contact through the swing. He worked backside well during his round of BP swings with some strength off it, extending through the swing. Showed the ability to pull as well, lifting and attacking in the air on some swings -- doing damage out in front. Quick hands and some balance throughout that allowed for a quality round of BP swings. Produced an 85 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Great student. Named to 2024 Spring Midwest Workout TP List.
