2023 California Workout Showcase (Sunday)
Bobby Anderson is a 2026 SS/RHP, 3B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Eastvale, CA who attends Norco. Medium, slender frame with plenty of room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.44 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with developing defensive skill set. Used deliberate footwork to range laterally and showed the ability to produce accurate throws up to 74 mph across the diamond during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with belt high leg lift and good downhill movements down the slope. Fastball worked in the mid-70s for the duration of his outing, flashing slight arm-side run to it and topped out at 76 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in a well-replicated changeup with fade and a developing breaking ball that varied in shape. Showed ability to land both secondary offerings for strikes and has some polish to his repertoire. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical refinement and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a lower, tight hand set and leg lift trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to create leverage and has some strength in his hands. Mostly pullside impact with occasional line drives. Fundamentally sound prospect with tons of physical upside and projection on both sides of the ball, will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments and additional strength.
