Dylan McMahon is a 2027 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Hurst, TX who attends L.D. Bell. Big bodied athletic build, strong lower half. Primary 1B who fields it in the middle well. Showed a strong arm across the diamond with accuracy at times. Throws from a higher slot into his release. Was better going to second with his throws and more accurate that way. Showed a clean pivot moving well off the bag. Also played outfield and was up to 80 from there. Waits back on the ball a bit but gets it out with some zip. Arm strength projects a good bit here with good accuracy and carry on his throws. Also pitched throwing from an over-the-top slot. Fastball worked up to 81 with good life out of the hand and could locate it. Flashed a curve in the low-70s with 12-6 shape and depth. Will need to more consistent maintaining his direction towards the plate. Velo should continue to trend up. Right-handed hitter starting slightly open. Showed a quick set of hands with good bat speed from a level swing path. Could get into lower half more and tends to lose balance off his back leg at times. Showed good part to his swing and mechanics; will just need to be more consistent with bat path and rhythm moving forward. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
