Joshua Newton is a 2026 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Westfield, IN who attends Hamilton Heights. Features a medium-sized build with some decent strength. In the OF, his athleticism showed. Gets around and through the baseball with quickness and body control. Fields it clean/out-front and works fast to release. Used a shorter arm action that got off downhill/accurate throws with avg. strength for his level. At the plate, starts pre-engaged with his backside. Uses a quick toe-tap trigger that doesn't get him off his backside. Stays behind it and leverages lower half. Bat path works more down-and-through with some lean back of his upper half causing him to get under the baseball. Flashes some above avg. bat/hand speed for his level. Was on-barrel the majority of his round and produced several strong pullside barrels.
