2025 PG High School All State Select Championship (28-29 Grads)
Zach Ennis is a 2028 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 201 lb. frame from Apex, NC who attends Pro5 Baseball Academy. Big and physical build with lots of strength potential. Left handed hitter, sets up in a slightly open base with a low leg lift timer, upper body swing that could use more of his strong lower half, worked mostly middle away in his swing approach, has strength and bat speed potential he can tap into with swing adjustments. 7.79 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, bends at the waist to field, turned well and made accurate throws, some arm strength for the position. Similar actions in the infield as a third baseman but is best suited for first base in the long run. Took a turn on the mound, worked from a full wind up with some rhythm to his delivery, compact arm action to a low 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with some running action to go with a short slider. Developing command and consistency for both pitches. Very good student.
