Diego Hernandez is a 2026 SS/3B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Chisholm Trail. Medium athletuc build with some compact strength, pretty mature physically. 7.14 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has good athleticism to the ball and quick feet, showed lateral ranged, fielded the backhand cleanly, two-handed gather out front, quick release on his throws, showed arm strength from a high 3/4's arm slot and changed slots well on the move, middle of the infield type actions. Right handed hitter, sets up in a balanced stance with a big leg raise timer, has some rhythm and gets his foot down on time, long and extended swing with some bat speed, gets into his lower half well, line drive swing plane. Named to the PG Lone Star Showcase Top Prospect List.
