Matthew Bias is a 2026 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Liberty University Online Academy. Medium athletic build with some compact present strength. 6.87 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense but tools and size profile much better suited for the outfield. Shows some quick twitch athleticism in the outfield, throws from an over the top slot with some carry on his throws and makes accurate throws, consistent footwork and actions. Solid at first base with quick turns and release on his throws. Left handed hitter, hits from a medium base with a slightly open front foot, simple load and trigger that he repeats well, hands work through the ball and have some strength, solid and consistent line drive contact, projects well has a hitter, especially with his Hit tool. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch from the third base side of the rubber, short and compact arm stroke to a 3/4's arm slot, can get rushed getting down the mound to his release. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, also threw a short slurve type breaking ball and tunneled a firm change up well with his fastball. Good athlete who should keep improving. Good student.
