Marc Barnhard is a 2024 3B/RHP, UT with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Grand Oaks. He ran a 7.29 second sixty. A primary third baseman with a larger projectable frame showing room to continue filling out. On the infield he feel for the actions going in with directions with soft hands receiving the ball out front funneling into the mid line when he is able to get around it. The ball comes out fine with good accuracy from a long smooth arm action that plays to his left well. In the outfield he comes in on the ball aggressively fielding it on the side and transferring it well maintaining his momentum into the throws with soldi arm strength topping out at 88 mph. On the mound he drops the hand straight down out of the glove with a plunge in the back showing good arm speed up to a high three-quarters arm slot doing a nice job of staying on top of his hips and getting extension out front with a short stride down the mound. The fastball sat 77-82 mph with more to get in the lower half, the slider showed flashes in the low 70's as a pitch that has a chance to continue to develop with the arm speed matching that of the fastball well. Right-handed hitter, starts slightly open with an upright stance, the bat path attacks the zone with some loft and the ability to impact the ball to from the middle of the field to the pull side, the bat speed was good when he was able to be on time with his separation in the load using a leg lift trigger to time the swing up.
