Blake Nichols is a 2023 C/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Weston, WI who attends D C Everest. He has a medium frame with a lean build and is athletic. Ran the sixty yard dash in 6.61 seconds. Primary catcher that starts in a low stance that is slightly open. He has compact movements and has a tendency to stand up on his throws. He showed arm strength behind the plate, keeping his throws low and on a line. Secondary outfielder that attacks the ball and fields it off to the side. He has a quick transfer with a short arm action, getting the ball out quickly. He starts with a slightly open stance at the plate with a balanced set up. He has a low hand set and features a low back elbow as well. He swings hard with nice bat speed, allowing him to impact the ball to all parts of the field. He found a lot of success when he stayed locked in on the opposite field gap. Good student. Named to the Summer Midwest Top Prospect List.
