Sam Windisch is a 2023 C/SS with a 6-0 131 lb. frame from Hartland, WI who attends Arrowhead. Recorded a 7.32 second sixty yard dash time. Long-limbed and lanky frame with plenty of room to fill. Primary catcher with a low and even stance, utilizes a quick transfer at the chest and gets the ball out with urgency. Has some explosiveness out of the chute, made accurate throws and recorded a 2.21 second pop time at 69 mph. Secondary shortstop, fields it out front with a funnel to the center of the body. Short arm action, recorded throws across at 73 mph, has developing feel for the position. Right-handed hitter with a slightly open stance and a tight hand set. Utilizes a small stride forward and a direct hand path with limited room for the barrel to work. Will improve as he keeps the barrel in the hitting zone for longer, developing bat speed and strength at present, found some barrels during his round. Great student.
