Louis Prieto is a 2029 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter. Recorded a 6.73 second sixty yard dash time. Medium, compact frame with a strong build. Primary outfielder moves well with a good first step and fields out front with a more passive approach and gets through it well. Medium in-line arm path with a high release and good one-hop accuracy. Secondary infielder with calculated footwork and glove is average and secures the ball. Moves laterally some. Also threw on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a hybrid windup with a small side-step into a belt-high leg lift. The hands are stationary at the letters into a compact takeaway and a high three- quarter arm angle. The fastball (1902 RPM) was upper-70s to 79 with arm-side tail and run. The curveball (1948 RPM) was a mid-60s with big 12-6 shape and gradual break. Repeating the mechanics well and mixing the curveball on both sides of the plate. More low effort operation and filled the zone some. Right-handed hitter starts from a narrow base with a high handset and a high back elbow. Hands work and gets the head out front with a rotational swing and added a home run during his round and three hits during the game action. Exciting player with a ton of feel in the box. Good student.
