Sawyer Kowalkowski is a 2024 OF/RHP, SS with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Fredonia, WI who attends Ozaukee. A lengthy and taller frame. Lean build with long levers throughout. Ran a 7.05 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who fielded one-handed off to the side of the front foot. He was aggressive to it and through it with some whip to the arm. Had great arm strength with throws at 89 mph. He showed urgency on the attack and had longer strides with a great round of throws. A right-handed hitter with a wider base, higher-set hands, and a lower back elbow. He lifts the leg with a toe-tap trigger. He was able to lift pull-side with his best contact coming pull-side in the air with a ground-rule double during his round of swings. Settled into his round of BP swings well. Added a hit in-game as well. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a lot of moving pieces as he worked down the mound. Big front glove point with the lead arm and whips himself through release. Uses a sidestep with a placement step on the rubber as he lifts the leg above the belt and throws from a higher slot. But manipulated arm slots to three-quarters and even submarine throughout his outing. Longer arm stroke with looseness to it. The fastball has a ton of arm-side run to it and sink. The pitch worked up to 83 mph. The slider was in the mid-70s with good lateral depth to it. He can get the slider backfoot and in on lefties for success. From the lower submarine slot, he threw in the upper-70s with a true sinker profile to the fastball. It's a quick move down the mound with a ton of deception. Threw 1 and 2/3 innings on the mound, allowing 2 hits, punching out 4 opposing hitters in the process. Named to 2023 Midwest Prospect TP List.
