2024 Iowa Indoor Showcase
Cooper Hummel is a 2025 1B/LHP with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Cascade, IA who attends Cascade High School. He has a tall frame with a presently strong frame. Ran the 40-Yard Dash in 5.62 seconds. Primary first baseman that showed advanced actions at first in fielding the ball and around the base. He works into a proper fielding position and works through it with his lower half well. He fields the ball out in front of his body and showed a good feel for the glove, consistently transferring it cleanly before firing accurately to the base. Left-handed hitter that starts in an even stance with a high back elbow. He uses a simple stride for timing and has a line drive approach. He looks to hit the ball in the gaps and showed nice power when he makes contact out in front of the plate and works to the pull side. Excellent student. Named to the 2024 Iowa Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
