Roberto Robles Negron is a 2023 C/ with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Arecibo, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Compact, medium frame with well-proportioned strength and some room to add. Primary catcher that received from a wider, slightly side-saddled stance with softness to his hands and quick midline transfer. Gains ground quickly out of the crouch, stays compact with his movements and repeats well. Displayed arm strength up to 77 mph from behind the plate during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly open stance with an exaggerated high hand set and high back elbow. Incorporates a hover trigger and creates good separation into launch. Loose, leveraged stroke with plenty of present bat speed, good extension and consistent feel for the barrel. Exhibited easy gap-to-gap power with impact and strength at contact. Intriguing overall hit tool with usable, long-term power. Solid defensive skills with strong arm to thwart the running game. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
