Josh Woods is a 2024 RHP/C, 3B, SS with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Columbus, OH who attends Hamilton Township. Medium frame with slender, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.70 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, inline hook through back of medium-length arm stroke, quickness to arm to 3/4 slot release, fastball worked 74-78 mph with flashes of cut, comfortable throwing curveball with slurvy tilt for strikes, projects well. Hits from open, narrow start with big leg lift trigger, big move into swing, stiff deep load, path tends to chop. Worked out behind the plate, side-saddle set, lengthy stride out of crouch with longer stroke, clocked up to 70 mph on throws. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
