Sanford, Florida (Monday, July 22, 2024) - Perfect Game, the world’s largest youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, today announced details for the 22nd annual Dick’s Sporting Goods All-American Classic, including rosters for both teams, broadcast information, community involvement and a rundown of the weekend’s events. Perfect Game’s premiere game will see the top 60 high school baseball players from around the country take part in various events both on and off the field throughout the weekend of August 16-18 around the greater Phoenix area. Chase Field, the home of the National League champion Arizona Diamondbacks, will once again host.

The rosters (attached) for both Team East and Team West are currently live at perfectgame.org and feature representatives from 22 U.S. states with California leading the way with 18 players. Several of the athletes have ties to current or former major league players, including infielder Ethan Holliday, son of former 7-time MLB All-Star Matt Holliday and brother of Jackson Holliday, the first overall selection of the 2022 MLB Daft; infielder Jayden Stroman, brother of current Yankees pitcher Marcus Stroman; catcher Bruin Agbayani, son of former MLB outfielder Benny Agbayani; shortstop Eli Willits, son of former MLB outfielder Reggie Willits; shortstop Quentin Young, nephew of former MLB outfielders Dmitri Young and Delmon Young; and infielder Brady Ebel, son of Dodgers third base coach Dino Ebel.

As the culminating event of the amateur baseball season, the All-American Classic serves as a showcase for the nation’s top high school baseball talent, providing a platform to display their skills in front of an international audience via PerfectGame.TV. It is a must-see exhibition for scouts and recruiters from all over the baseball map at both the professional and collegiate level.

Perfect Game kicks off a jam-packed weekend on Friday, August 16, with the Underclass All-Star Game at 11:00 am PT. On Saturday, Perfect Game will hold its annual Home Run Challenge at 10:00 am PT when the best high school hitters will slug it out for bragging rights. The final round of the Home Run Challenge will take place prior to the All-American Classic on Sunday at 3:00 pm PT. Both events will stream live in their entirety on PerfectGame.TV from Chase Field.

The weekend culminates with the All-American Classic on Sunday at 5:00 pm PT live on PerfectGame.TV. Veteran baseball broadcaster Daron Sutton will be on the call, along with former major league All-Star Hunter Pence and longtime scout David Rawnsley. Multi-media sportscaster Dani Wexelman will conduct on-field interviews throughout the game to round out the broadcast team. Coaches for the All-American Classic will be announced at a later date.

In the tradition of past All-American Classic events, the participating athletes will have the opportunity and be encouraged to raise money for philanthropic causes for children during the course of the weekend. Through the years, Perfect Game’s athletes have raised over $1.5 million for various pediatric initiatives. This year, the main beneficiary will be the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Admission is free as fans are welcome to attend all Perfect Game events that weekend at Chase Field.
