Josh Holliday is coming into his 11th season at the helm of this program, fresh off a conference championship title and having eight of his Cowboys selected in the MLB draft (7 signed). Additionally, three more were selected as All-Americans. It was a fruitful year for the program, who look to take that next step in the College World Series and reclaim national gold for the first time since the program reached the mountain top in 1959. Consecutive appearances in the tournament year after year since 2013 help with that goal, as do top ten recruiting classes in a given cycle. This class includes 10 position players ranked Top 500 or better and six arms in that same range.

The headliner is Ethan Holliday, the current number one ranked overall prospect in the entire 2025 class. The lineage for the Holliday’s runs deep with Oklahoma State, and that trend continues here. Currently a primary shortstop, there is more than likely a move to the corner down the line but the stick projects out well with future power potential and feel to hit. Whether he makes it to campus is a question for later, but as it stands right now he is guaranteed a future with Oklahoma State at the next level. Following up Holliday, a toolshed in Danny Wallace (6.45 60-yard dash, 97 outfield velocity, 100 max exit velocity) and extra strong right-handed power bat Sebastian Norman are both set to make their way to campus next year. Terrance Bowen has a chance to stick on the dirt with real impact potential in his bat, posting outstanding results on volume for years now down with the East Cobb Astros in Marietta, a great addition to this class reaching down south. Cole Pladson rounds this bunch off, looking like a reliable left-handed prep bat that is consistently making contact with a feel to hit and understanding of the zone. Oklahoma State is beefing up their bats in the class at the top, and look to have recruited well across the midwest and into Georgia. Other bats to look out for in this class include Ezra Essex, Remo Indomenico, Ty Kennedy, Quinn Schambow and Deacon Pomeroy.

As for arms, Parker Jennings tops the class as the 188th ranked prospect in the country hailing from California. A long and lanky 6-4/175, the right-handed arm has been up to a verified 94-mph at Perfect Game events. He can land a quality slider with average to above average future projection and works in a change-up as well in the low 80’s. Plenty of upside with this arm given the stuff and lanky 6’4 pitcher’s frame, and it’s easy to understand why Josh Holliday and his staff pushed into Cali to secure his commitment. The only southpaw of this bunch is Gaige Albright, a lightly shown arm on the tournament scene with Perfect Game coming from Newalla, Oklahoma. He currently is ranked as the number one left-handed prep arm in his state, and the seventh overall prospect. Other arms to monitor in this class include Zane Burns, Caden Sramek, Cael Turner and Drew Winslow

As it stands, it’s a strong class headlined by Holliday, with projectable power bats littered through the top five paired with quality arms in the region and a standout California arm in Jennings. Josh Holliday and his staff have done well this cycle and look to continue to build the program up with strong classes in the prep ranks. It will be intriguing to see how these freshmen cowpokes are able to contribute to this club early on.
