2-Columbia Blue vs. 4-Gray Game Highlights
7/2/2024 10:49:07 PM

Austin Musso (2025 RHP, Mascoutah, IL) punched out three hitters over two frames and showed a really good fastball quality. The pitch got north of 20" of IVB and functioned as a swing-and-miss offering while rounding out the full four pitch mix.

Cole Raymond (2025 RHP, Bristol, CT) worked up to 95 mph and did so pretty easily. He threw both a two and four seam, with good horizontal and IVB respectively, and mixed in a dynamic gyro slider in the 84-87 mph range.

Brock Silvers (2025 1B, Middleton, ID) showed off the easy strength with an opposite field triple that left the bat at 90 mph. He flicked the wrist on an outside fastball and showed the strength to create backspin and carry the other way.

Ethan Bauerschmidt (2025 RHP, Pleasant Prairie, WI) was up to 92 mph and showed a good amount of feel for a hard curveball. The fastball got some sinking life and there was a ton of comfort with throwing the breaking ball for strikes.

Peyton Lee (2025 RHP, Maumelle, AR) worked up to 94 mph and has a really athletic operation. He struck out two hitters over two scoreless with just one hit allowed and the upside here is significant.

Justin Rompré (2025 3B, Ste Anne De La Perade, QC) had a couple of hard barrels during the game, an opposite field 97EV single and a 93EV ground ball to third. Rompre has hit some balls hard this week and has quality bat speed in the box.

Peter Mershon (2025 C, Taylors, SC) continued his hot hitting ways with another smoked barrel, this time leaving the bat at 102 mph. He's been all over the barrel this summer and showed speed too with a couple of stolen bases. He also barreled a single at 101 mph later in the game.

Ty Peeples (2025 OF, Lavonia, GA) had two line drive barrels, both leaving the bat at 90+ mph. It's a smooth left-handed swing and Peeples collected a single and a loud fly out to centerfield.

Connor Blue (2025 RHP, Ofallon, IL) showed a very good fastball, getting over 20" of IVB and sitting in the low-90s. There's good feel for a curveball too that showed good depth and garnered whiffs.

Andrew Jacobs (2025 RHP, Peoria, AZ) has really unique qualities to his pitches with a very low arm slot and lots of horizontal on the low-90s heater. The breaker showed huge sweep, up to 22" of horizontal, that worked as an out pitch.

Trey Campos (2025 OF, Virginia Beach, VA) showed a full three pitch mix with an athletic delivery and was up to 91 mph. He's a a very good athlete and ran a 6.5 while throwing 93 mph from the outfield as well.

Tyler Wick (2025 SS, San Diego, CA) collected two hits during the game and showed good feel for the barrel. It's a full path with strength and leverage out in front of the plate.

Daniel Pierce (2025 SS, Hoschton, GA) barreled up a single up the middle for a 94 EV. He made a couple of really nice defensive plays and stole a few bags too; he impacts the game in a lot of ways.

Gustavo Melendez (2025 SS, Cayey, PR) barreled up a 98EV single during the game and has been uber athletic in the infield all event. He's an impactful defender with really impressive left-handed bat speed.
