Brendan Blankenship is a 2028 SS/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-0 171 lb. frame from Statesville, NC who attends South Iredell. High waisted frame with long levers and present strength. 7.23 runner in the sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, side step into a belt high leg lift, long and loose arm action in the back with serious whip to the arm. Reached back and hit 88 mph early on and worked comfortably in the mid-80s (2343 RPM). Curveball has tight downer shape, up to 73 mph (2214 RPM). Secondary middle infielder, works nicely to the backhand, glove gets down early, choppy footwork working around the baseball and has range to both sides. Big arm strength across, recorded throws up to 89 mph. Also worked out in the outfield, fields off to the side and works through the baseball well, full arm action and arm strength really stood out, accurate to both bags and recorded throws up to 89 mph. Right-handed hitter, medium base with a big leg lift trigger, short direct flow, got the barrel out front and impacted to the pull-side when in rhythm. Uphill barrel path with ability to lift at impact.
