Desmond Taylor is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Gainesville, FL who attends Newberry. Tall, athletic frame with well-proportioned strength throughout the frame. Great runner, ran a 6.79 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter, slightly open stance with the hands tight to the body, inside out barrel path to contact with noticeable bat speed. Has quality strength to the hands and the ball comes off well when in rhythm. Projects very well. Primary outfielder, clean one hand funnel on the side of the frame and works through the baseball nicely. Medium length arm action to a high three-quarters release point. Great arm strength on display and was accurate throughout the round, running throws up to 90 mph. Tremendous student. Named to 2024 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Top Prospect List.
