Briar Persing is a 2027 RHP/C/1B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Montgomery, PA who attends Montgomery. Primary RHP with an athletic frame and present strength. Works from the windup with drop and drive mechanics. Throws from a higher slot with longer arm action. Works downhill with intent and lands inline well. Fastball worked up to 88 and lived in the 84-87 range from a downhill plane. Attacks hitters within the zone. Slider at 77-78 with shorter tail to it and bite. Projectable off the bump. Also played infield showing good footwork and lateral range to the ball. Was up to 82 across the diamond. Also played first working around the bag with comfort. Made clean turns to second and was comfortable with his footwork. Accurate thrower. Right-handed hitter with a tall upright stance. Stays short through the zone with present strength at impact. Hands stay tight through the ball with tight turns. Could impact it to pull and power projects. Excellent Student. Named to the 2024 National Underclass TP List.
