Matthew Heredia is a 2028 SS/RHP, MIF, OF with a 5-8 125 lb. frame from Colleyville, TX who attends Liberty Christian. Wiry, athletic build with traits for age. Ran a 8.17 in the sixty. Infielder, smooth actions and crisp hands for age. Good on the backhand, changes slots with a good arm across. Some twitch and replaces feet well. Solid athlete. Also pitched, three-quarter slot with medium arm circle. Quick arm for age. Good arm side run on the fastball, good command at the bottom of the zone. Holds his coil well down the slope. Right-handed hitter, high hand set and open stance with shorter base. Good intent in the hands and can whip the barrel some. Worked mostly up the middle via hard liners and the hand speed is present. Athletic look in all facets. Excellent student. Named to Top Prospect list.
