Brayden Jacoby is a 2026 3B/RHP/MIF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Ashland, VA who attends Hanover. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with a medium leg lift timer, loads his hands forward, has some hand quickness and some jump when he barrels up, tends to open his front side early and lose his hands at times, projects as a hitter as he gets stronger. Primary third baseman on defense, best tool tool is his arm and his release, gets rid of the ball quickly and has some carry on his throws, still developing his footwork and glove position into the ball, will keep improving with repetitions. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with a big side step start and a low leg raise, gets turned over the rubber, varies his rhythm to the plate, gets good use of his legs down the mound, mid 3/4's arm slot creates some angle and deception. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, ball got on hitters quickly and they were often behind in their timing, gets nice ride up in the zone. Slider was a nice pitch with two-plane break and tight late break. Has a chance on the mound with further strength and development. Excellent student.
