Mitchel Stanton is a 2024 RHP/3B with a 6-2 178 lb. frame from So Chicago Heights, IL who attends Marian Catholic. Large frame with a physical build showing strength throughout. Ran a 7.33 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, sidestep to a fast paced higher leg lift. Turns at the top before uncoiling and working down the hill. Shorter arm stroke to a high three-quarter slot release. Repeatable delivery and filled up the zone because of it. Fastball up to 85 mph with spin rates up to 2360 rpm. Feel to locate to both sides of dish while creating downhill angle. Mixed in a changeup in the upper-70's and a curveball with 11-to-5 actions in low-70's. Spin rates on the breaking ball up to 2420 rpm. Upside on the mound going forward. Secondary Third Baseman, sitting back on it a bit as he gathers it deep in the stance. Scoops it up and then shuffles into release. Arm plays here up to 81 mph with accuracy. Right-Handed Hitter, even to start before striding out while creating separation. Gets downhill at times and generates backspin when he times it up properly. Has some power in the swing when he finds it. Great Student. Named to Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
