2025 PG Coastal Indoor Showcase
Dominic Shaver is a 2026 1B/RHP with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Lutherville, MD who attends St. Paul's. Big and tall build with outstanding present strength. Right handed hitter, starts from a very open stance with a high hand set, looking to pull and lift the ball, gets to his power easily with very good bat speed and strength at contact, tends to get slotted in his swing and will need to make adjustments against better competition to handle the outside half. 4.24 runner in the thirty. Primary first baseman on defense, has a good idea on his footwork and makes tight turns with athletic actions, gets his glove in good position fielding the ball, more than enough arm strength for the position. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a long and deep arm action and a medium length stride down the mound, gets good drive from his strong lower half. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with both tail and cut at times. Slider was a good pitch with some two-plane life and feel for locating the pitch. Threw strikes with both pitches. Good student. Named to the PG Coastal Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
