Billy Moon is a 2009 LHP/OF/1B with a 5'9'', 175 lb. frame from Spokane Valley, Washington, who attends University High School. Moon has present strength in his body with very strong legs. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a high leg kick. Moon stays balanced over the rubber, and he is deceptive. He has a sharp curveball at 68 mph, and he also mixes in a 75 mph slider. Moon has good command of three pitches, and he gets out in front early in the count. He also has projectable velocity. During his outing, Moon struck out 7 in 4 innings of work. Defensively he has an accurate arm from the outfield with online carry. He moves well getting to the ball. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who uses a toe tap trigger with a short stride. He is a line drive contact hitter who is short to the ball. Moon stays balanced, and he has a good eye at the plate. Moon is an excellent student as well.
