Kyle Weatherford is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Springfield, IL who attends Athens. A taller frame with some athleticism in the build. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with good accuracy across the diamond to first. His feet moved well and he adjusted arm slots smoothly as needed. Had clean actions with the glove and the throws at 81 mph were good. Moved well laterally with good control of his body. A right-handed hitter with high hands and a high back elbow. Works from an even base with the weight back. He was able to stay balanced and get extended at times. Rotational swing through the zone looking to pull. Produced some solid line drives during his round of BP. Produced an 83 mph exit velocity. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher. Had a belt-high leg lift working from a three-quarters arm slot. His fastball worked into the low-80s with some arm-side run. He located well east-west, throwing strikes. Had a developing breaking ball with a shorter break at 67 mph. He was able to land it for strikes and keep hitters off-balance. Threw strikes and competed on the mound during his outing. Good student. Named to 2023 National Indoor (Saturday) Showcase TP List.
