Lucas Kolb is a 2024 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-4 203 lb. frame from Clarkston, MI, who attends Oakland Christian. A taller frame with a medium build. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher who worked out of the stretch only. Used a closed foot set working into a high belt leg lift straight up. Sinks into the backside and drives down the slope with good & full extension down the mound. Had a medium arm swing with a low three-quarters arm slot. Funky arm action that was deceptive at times. Fastball was up to 85 mph and had some run to it. Breaking ball was in the low-70s with an 11-5 shape to it. Also showed a cutter in the mix. A right-handed hitter with high-set hands and a high-back elbow. Slightly open feet with great bat speed working through the zone. He turns it over super well and gets good hand extension in the load. He was able to crush several balls during his round of BP and show off some strength. Produced an 84 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Also worked out as an infielder with a functional round of defense. Gets to the ball with active footwork, and the hands made the plays as needed with a fluid glove. Throws across had strength behind them and were from a higher three-quarters slot and dropped lower at times. Threw 84 mph across during his round of defensive reps as an infielder. Excellent student. Named to 2023 Michigan Indoor Showcase TP List.
