Joseph Mateo is a 2025 OF with a 6-2 167 lb. frame from Juana Diaz, PR. Long and lean athletic build with plenty of strength potential. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand load, stays connected well with his lower half in his swing, has some lift in his swing and pulled some balls hard to the pull side, has a good swing to build from if he can continue to get stronger and add to his bat speed. 6.94 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, can further develop his aggressiveness through the ball and keep momentum into his throws, has some arm strength from a short over the top arm action. Good student.
