Gavin Gross is a 2024 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Valparaiso, IN who attends South Central. Medium frame with athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.39 seconds. Hits from upright stance with pre-loaded hands and still launch, has looseness to stroke with compact bat speed, pull-side approach, tends to block front side, flashes barrel skills with ability to work gaps. Worked out in the infield, hands work well and shows solid athletic balance through actions to either side, quick release from multiple slots, clocked up to 78 mph on throws. Also pitched, works from the stretch, 3/4 slot that can work more low 3/4 at times, fastball worked 75-78 mph and touched 80 mph with good two-seam run, showed slider with short tilt. Very good student, named to 2023 Uncommitted Main Event Top Prospect List.
