Alex Viera is a 2011 RHP/ with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Naples, FL who attends Barron Collier HS. Strong athletic build, firming up well. Square balanced delivery, some drift, high front side, high 3/4's release, very easy and smooth arm action, good downhill angle, hides ball well. Consistent upper 80's fastball, mostly straight, good deception on FB with ease and delivery, throws fastball to spots. Curveball and change up very secondary pitches, slows noticeably on both pitches, flashes occasional downer bite on curveball. Quality arm, must continue to work on off speed pitches. Good student.
