Jon Reed is a 2009 RHP/3B with a 6'2'', 200 lb. frame from Tulsa, OK who attends Tulsa Memorial. Reed has a good strong pitchers build, and easily pitches in the low 90's. He has a smooth quick arm action and uses a 3/4 arm angle. If it's possible to say sneaky fast at low 90s, that's Reed. His mechanics work well for him and he also uses a change up. His off-speed pitches are solid and he looks like he can throw even better than what we saw. He really looks the part on the mound and he has a big right arm. He is an outstanding student and a definite 2009 RHP to follow.
